Steve Bannon Arrested, Among 3 Others Charged With Fraud

‘We Build The Wall’ campaign was a non-profit campaign built to raise funds to build the wall, Trump’s Wall that bordered the United States and Mexico for border control purposes.

3 others were also charged with fraudulent money laundering when they stuck theirs sticky hands in the cookie jar anad embezzled millions from donors.

It’s a surprise and a scheme of a mastermind that has not had a great reputation since he stepped down from his Chief Strategy position in the White House.

What is next for them? I assume they have the funds to bail out fairly quickly but we shall know more in u

Nookazon + Nintendo’s Animal Crossing = True Love

If you have not heard of Nookazon yet, you might as well be living under a rock.

Nookazon is the jelly to the peanut butter sandwich of love that makes Animal Crossing Nintendo’s third grossing game of all time.

New Horizons players can trade the exact items they need to get to the next project in the game, which can be played on PC or Console.

You can find art, brushes, clothing, DIY recipes, furniture, fruits, listings, and they have over 270k active users daily.

Apparently the whole Nookazon site started in a Discord room, where the owner knew he needed to bring it out and about the the world wide web.

They have a moderation system and when there are shade balls trying to take advantage they are flagged as shady instead of kicked out altogether. I guess the philosophy is that they want as man y users as they can get.

The trades are not money based rather merit based. Some items for Animal Crossing are sold on Ebay for up to $100, maybe more on a rainy day.

He is eventually looking to move to an app and a server other than Discord that can handle the huge amount of traffic it gets.

What is the next Discord? Or will Discord improve?

Where will we go from here?

I’m a Parent, and I’m Exhausted

Parents are really getting pushed to the limits these days.

Many that do not have families and pets to distract them from doing work on the daily were lucky when the pandemic hit, as they could have uninterrupted silence.

Now parents are forced to work from home and teach their children via Zoom classes that are no way independent for my children.

We are forced to look at a screen and grab supplies at every new turn. Then after the post-traumatic Zoom class, we are assigned independent work which is dependent on the parents.

Raz Kids and ST Math are great language and math apps for younger kids, and we continue to strive to do our best to be patient and teach are children.

Outside in mid Los Angeles County there is mass looting going on in local grocery and drug stores. It was 99 degrees fahrenheit yesterday and 84 degrees fahrenheit today, but it feels like 110 degrees with the humidity.

What can parents do for a break these days? Do you feel like you are being punished for having kids?

There should certainly be another stimulus for the country, especially for those that do not currently have jobs. There should also be a stipend for all families as they navigate the new normal and teach their kids at home.

We need tax refunds for all the money the districts are saving, as a majority of families did not have more than a rents worth of cash to float the boat.

Show me the money!

OK, over and out.

4 Ways to Stay Cool in Heat

1. Ice Cube on your Face

Good old ice cubes are sitting in your freezer. Use them. Use them often.

2. Drinking Cold Water

Keep cold water bottle by you at all times to remember to sip every 20 minutes if you can remember. Set a reoccuring alarm either hourly or minute increments during the day as a reminder.

3. Eat cold fruits and veggies (smoothies will also do just add water)

Staying healthy by eating your vitamins help, and if you do not allow yourself to eat your vitamins, then take a daily vitamin after you eat with water.

4. Cold Baths in Air Conditioning (if you have it)

Just like Icelandians cut a hole in the ice and do their morning baths in frigid temperatures, let us do the same. Cold water helps our lymphatic system naturally and helps us live strong healthy lives.

5 Ways to Respect Yourself

1. Don’t let others bully you

Vet your emotions after each interaction with others. Do you trust them? Do they have your best self in mind? If not, they need to be cancelled.

2. Set boundaries (and keep them)

You are only one person, and cannot help anyone if you do not take care of yourself first. Take care of yourself and others will be more inclined to as well.

3. Respect Yourself

You are perfect in God’s way. You were created in the universe because you have something to contribute to it. And only you can discover that purpose and run with it to be your best self.

4. Respect Others by Respecting Yourself

Most people that do not respect you, do not have respect for themselves too. Respect yourself, and others will follow. If someone disrespects you more than once, you are disrespecting yourself.

5. Love Yourself + Heal Yourself + Be Grateful

Healing is intentional. You have to do the work and no one else can do it for you. Self healing is hard. Self healing takes patience. Self healing takes time. Self healing is rewarding. Working with others to help you self heal is necessary by therapist, friends, family, and community. Everyone is replaceable in the sense that you have the control over the people you allow into your zone. Choose wisely.

Communism vs Democracy by Business Dictionary

Article by Business Dictionary, http://www.businessdictionary.com/article/1086/communism-vs-democracy-d1412/.

Communism vs. Democracy

166168By: Jeffrey GlenCommunism and Democracy are two political ideologies or philosophies that dictate how political systems should be managed. Both systems are considered to be ‘left-wing’ on the political spectrum and more liberal in nature than some other political ideological alternatives (i.e. fascist or conservative ideologies). This article will help you follow the key differences when trying to understand Communism vs. Democracy.

General Concept

  • Communism: To each according to their needs. The government will provide what people need and through advances in technology everyone will have an abundance to consume. It’s important to note that communism is both a political ideology and a social one, in that it dictates how government and social organization will be established.
  • Democracy: Everything is decided by citizens, who all have an equal say in decisions that impact people in general. The majority wins and everything will be decided and ruled by a majority vote. Democracy is a political ideology and not a social one, in that it dictates a form of government but any form of social organization can exist around that government.

Ownership of Property

  • Communism: Communism does not allow for individuals to own anything, all property is public and can be used by those who need it (as decided by government).
  • Democracy: Individual can own personal property like homes and businesses. Some government ownership of producing assets still exists as deemed acceptable by the majority vote.

Freedom of Choice

  • Communism: Either through collective vote or the direction of government leadership all economic, social, and political decisions are dictated.
  • Democracy: Personal choice is allowed for the most part but there are limitations in place (laws) established by the majority rule government to maintain order and set certain guidelines.

Access to Services

  • Communism: Access to services is universal and the state will provide what people need in terms of health care or educational services.
  • Democracy: Access to services will vary based on what the majority rule government dictates, in some democratic countries (i.e. Canada) health and education are free to access. Alternatively, in the U.S. health care is largely private and access to service is driven by private insurers to a significant extent.

Religion

  • Communism: Religion is abolished in a communist state.
  • Democracy: Fundamentally, freedom of religion exists and is permitted, the extent to which religion impacts government varies as that will be dictated by majority rule. Some democratic states do not allow freedom of religion due to the views of the majority.

Key Economic Principles

  • Communism: The means of economic production are held in common by the people and production is organized based on the needs and will of the collective (administered by the central government). Individual economic decisions do not exist and are pre-established by the collective.
  • Democracy: Economic structures vary depending on what the majority of voters prefer. Economies in a democracy often have some form of capitalist free market economy with restrictions in place (via laws) as deemed appropriate by the majority elected government.

Communism vs. Democracy in Practice

In reality there are no truly communist states in existence, regardless of the names that certain governments have historically given to their system of government. Cuba, the Soviet Union, and China have typically referred to themselves as communist but private property and ownership were never fully established. At best they were/are all countries with a dictatorship that borrows to an extent from communist ideology.

Democratic countries span the world and the majority of developed nations have democratic political systems. North America and Europe are both almost fully democratic in terms of the government system used by countries on those continents.

Epic Games Flexes on Apple; Get’s Cancelled

The gaming industry is brutal. Gamers are competitive. Gamers want to win. Some gamers will do ANYTHING to win.

And here comes Epic Games.

Epic Games is suing Apple for not appropriately giving them a great rev share on the Apple store.

Apple can realistically charge whatever they want.

It’s their site.

It’s their product.

They flexed on this company and now Fortnite, one of the top grossing games of all time for youngsters has been removed from the Apple store.

Will Google be next?

First Tik Tok app is removed, then WeChat.

What apps will be next in the tech war?

Any Chinese based invested companies are at risk.

Snap, Reddit, Activision, even Apple and Microsoft based companies that have relationships with China could be threatened.

What other applications do you use that are Chinese based?

The main flex on China has to do with both Google and Facebook being fully blocked for use from the Chinese government due to national security threats.

How can we play nice and be friends with China again? They have supported us in many ways. What are your thoughts?

Amazon, Target, or Walmart?

Who will reign supreme in the home goods war?

I am getting mixed reviews from friends and family on this question, so I dare to ask you as well.

What company are you ordering from this year?

With coronavirus flu spreading like fire, we’ve all made significant shifts to our daily routines.

I have not been to the grocery store myself since February and have been lucky enough to have a partner that helps me out in that department.

We are sticking with WholeFoods.com Amazon’s grocery hub, but also ordering from the site too for the basics like toilet paper.

Problem is that Amazon’s algorithm promotes what is best for them making money rather than whats best for the consumer.

We have been led astray to companies like Target.com and Walmart.com that have a ton of cheaper options with less delivery overhead.

They also have the pick up at location option that people love too as it gets them out of the house.

What companies are you purchasing from now? Would love to hear your mojo too! The more the merrier.

Tips for Sales Tracking + Progress

There are too many Customer Relationship Management tools to count, and most are not used often with sellers mainly for the inconvenience of inputting the data.

Many tools are still not able to fully track the entire multidimensional, multiplatform lifecycles of the sale from start to finish.

The main reason is that every seller has a method to his madness, and all are different with their approach.

The obvious end goal however is the sale, but many do not fully track the sale from the first greeting to the signed contract.

The real fuzzy part of the deal is in the middle of the process, where the buyer should be engaged in understanding your product and how it will make it easier for them to do their job with your product.

We need to be accountable for fully tracking the progress of our deals, with each communication being accounted for in our CRM. If our CRM is not able to track it, then a customized shared Google document should do the trick.

The main elements of tracking include the Company, the Persons Name, the Persons Email, The Date of Contact, and How you Contacted Them (Phone, LinkedIn, Instagram, Email, and Event, where you can make it a Drop Down List).

There should be a record for each outreach and the outcome of that outreach.

Did the contact view your email? Did they respond? Did they book a meeting?

The main knowing that your outreach worked is when they book a meeting. This shows you that your email gave them incentive enough to join the call, and learn more about what you have to offer.

The first meeting should not be a presentation or a cold pitch.

No one wants to hear about you or how other companies use your product.

They want you to learn more about THEM.

Therefore questioning your prospects, and turning the script to them to get them to talk about their jobs and day to day will help you understand them and their difficulties.

We have been taught at an earlier stage in sales that it is all about your PITCH to the client. But its not the way people sell anymore.

The SELL is the conversation and the questions you ask the client that will give them a better idea of their pain points.

For example, if you have a digital product you are looking to sell. No need to promote your product. Ask them questions about whether they have the solutions your product provides.

If your digital product makes tracking payments more clearly transparent to the company, questions like how does your board know when payments are received? should open up the conversation.

From that question, you should have more questions that should arise from the previous question.

So if the answer was, we send out an email every month to the company of financial tracking, your follow up question should be, do folks in your office ask questions about the status of payment through out the month? Do they ask often for transparency?

If so, your product does offer this however you do not need to mention all the bells and whistles on the first call.

It is important to end the call with the expectations of your next anticipated communication. This could look like a follow up meeting next week to go over the necessary terms needed to close the deal. Whether that be cost structure, pain points of expectations, asking their needs, whatever it may be, the first meeting DOES NOT mean there will be a SALE.

The first meeting is there to peak their interest in YOUR PRODUCT.

So stop selling on calls. And start asking questions and doing your research on your customers ahead of time. You’re bound to get more sales!

7 Quick Breaks For Parents

It’s been a crazy year for those parents that have children and had to homeschool them.

There have been limitations on going outside of the house without a mask, most parks and restaurants are still closed. This makes it difficult to entertain kids, but it also makes it difficult for us to get some alone time ourselves.

Here are some ways you and your significant other can take a healthy needed break from the house, while practicing social distancing too.

1. Coffee Break

We were lucky to discover a drive thru Dunkin’ Donuts near us, and it seems Starbucks has some as well. This makes it convenient for you to safely grab a cup of joe, while in the safety of your car. Don’t forget to wear your mask in the drive thru as they are requiring it for yours and others safety.

2. Podcast Break

There are so many great new podcasts out there for whatever subject you are into nowadays. Sword and Stone is a great horror podcast that narrates real life scary stories, and you can do it either in the comfort of your car or on a daily walk. Sebastian Maniscalco has a show called the Pete & Sebastion Show that’s a podcast that was picked up by iHeart radio, however you can stream it on YouTube as well. I highly recommend it as comedy is the best form of medicine.

3. Lunch Break

Genghis Cohen is a lovely chinese restaurant nearby us in Los Angeles, and we went to pick up a wonton, shrimp, chicken, and vegetable soup that was delicious. I parked under a shaded tree nearby, put a few packets of soy sauce in it for flavor and enjoyed it in the comfort of my own car. Bon apetito!

4. Car Wash Break

Some hand wash car washes are now closed however there are few automated or laser car washes that are still open. Getting the car washed every week or every other week is great to keep your car clean, but also gives you that much needed break from the kids.

5. CVS Life Break

You can still browse for random products and food in CVS with a mask. Sometimes I will go on the non-peak times like 2pm or 10am, and just walk around and browse to see if there is anything I can buy that is not very costly but can help me relax. I’ve definitely bought Josh Cherry Wine, but also have gone for the facial masks that are super luxurious for when you get home. They also sell bath salts, nail files, tweezers and other fun stuff to keep your self refreshed and healthy during this time.

6. The Beach Break

Many public beaches are open now, and as long as you social distance you should be A-OK. We like to drive to those beaches that have paid parking just to remain safe and off the main roads. Don’t forget to bring the sand toys and beach toys, along with snacks and water. We drive thru McDonald’s and grab either breakfast sandwiches or Hamburger Happy Meals with Chocolate Milks and the kids are full and happy which prelongs the trip there. There are showers there as well so if the water is too cold to jump in, the outdoor showers are nice and warm. It’s refreshing. If you want to conquer this solo too, do it! It’s important to not feel guilty taking a break as the more relaxed and refreshed you are, the more your children will enjoy you too!

7. Massage Break

Some massage parlors are safe and open for business now. If you call around you’ll find a few nearby your house that are taking appointments. The one near us has special instructions, as they only allow 2 people in at a time however it is worth it.

What other ways are you taking a break?

Michelle Obama Wins This Week

Winner, winner, chicken dinner.

Here’s an excerpt of what she posted this week on Instagram:

You get used to it, even as a little girl- opening the newspaper, turning on the tv, and hardly ever seeing anybody that looks like you. You train yourself to not get your hopes up. And sometimes it’s a battle just to keep telling yourself that you might deserve more. Because no matter how much you prepare, no matter what grades you get, or even how high you rise at work, it always feels like someone is always getting ready to tell you that you are not qualified. That you’re not smart enough. That you’re too loud or too bossy. That there is just something about you…that you’re not quite the right fit.

I mean. Can we all relate to this?

Time is up for this nonsense. It’s time to love ourselves and take accountability for our actions in every aspect and fiber of our being.

How To Be Happy per Seneca

1. Inner Potential is Infinite and Your Decision to Master Yourself

Don’t worry stuff outside of your control.

2. Accept Whatever Happens

Don’t deny pain, accept it and move on to the next opportunity. Reactions, actions, and judgements are the only things we can control.

3. Take responsibility for yourself

Stoicism teaches us we are in control of our unhappiness and happiness. Stimulus and reactions do not need to actioned on. Let it be. Getting angry at traffic is not productive, take charge of your reactions. Express your higher self always.

4. Anger and Hostility is fundamentally unreasonable and unnatural

It’s extreme and a temporary madness, anger.

5. Have a plan and be mindful of our purpose

No wind is favorable for an ill prepared sailboat. You have the choice to design your own future.

6. Avoid what the crowd does, and do whats best for you

Anyone that does not follow the crowd it naturally normal, and happiness comes from within. When we are all different, we should embrace our individuality and be ourselves.

7. Wealth is the master of a fool

Don’t become a slave to money.

8. Be mindful, be present

Every day is the best day of your life.

9. Blind Kindness + Giving without Return is Joyful

Yep.

10. We are forever young

Souls are infinite, be that inner baby.

Gearing Up for Elementary School

This is for you parents.

It’s that time we’ve all dreaded, all summer long.

Back to school via home, aka homeschool.

I’ve had in and out of consciousness panic attacks since August 1st.

Pony up, parents!

This is what we’ve done to prepare.

We logged into our schools parent portal, and found out who our teacher is!

We ordered new school supplies, like markers, pencils, sharpeners, and notebooks preemptively.

We took the pre school vacation. It was short term and at the nearest body of water, but we did it.

We prepared and did laundry before school starts next week.

We ordered new groceries from Amazon.com and Wholefoods.com.

We found the Amazon algorithm is pushing higher priced products.

We bought less expensive items from Target.com instead.

We planted indoor mint and lavender that will be ready to plant outdoors at the end of August.

We made Mom take care of herself, and splurge on a new Coach.com bag. Because we can have nice things that are hidden away in our closets.

We vetted all of the stuff we no longer use, and donated them accordingly.

We vacuumed.

Now, we wait.

(Queue pending doom music)

Enjoy the last weekend before school starts families!

Bless up!
