This morning I woke up early, and I woke up tired. I ended up going back to sleep as it has been colder in the mornings, and it is hard to get motivated to wake up when the room is cold. I have been having very vivid dreams lately for some reason too. Not sure why! I have never had very vivid dreams before but here we are.
I am just drinking my Dunkin’ Donuts coffee with some raw honey and almond milk. It is so yummy when it is nice and hot. I had a so-so breakfast, which consisted of a banana and a Larabar Cashew Cookie Flavor that was good. Now that I have had my breakfast I was thinking about what I would write about today, and thought I would tell you about what I had planned for today. First I had to get the kids on Zoom school, which is always a challenge as they really don’t like it. It is just not very interactive and I find that they learn more when they are talking about topics rather than just listening to the teacher. They have some fun YouTube videos that they listen too that involve music and dancing. They also integrate counting too.
Second, I had to check in on my WordPress stats for this blog I have created. I am having fun coming up with new articles, and have based them around things that I find interesting and want to know more about. I find that I lean towards positive quotes, interesting people, leadership styles, work tips, Paleo diet recipes, Whole30 diet rounds, arts + crafts, movies and fun things to do while at home. I have written over 500 articles now and have over 1,000 followers, which I am super happy about! I am trying to beat my viewers, users, likes and comments every month, which leads me to find interesting articles that others want to review and talk about.
Thirdly, I wanted to understand why I am waking up so tired. I have a few theories. First, I may be getting too much sleep and could be oversleeping. I usually get in bed by 8pm and hopefully fall asleep by 10pm. I sleep until 7am to 8am. This is about 10 hours of sleep, which sounds like a long time. I will try to stay up a little later to see how that works out for me. I am also thinking that the tiredness is coming from not drinking enough water during the day. I usually try and drink water with lime or lemon juice in it. I use an empty VOSS drink bottle, which if you know it it is bigger than the average water bottle and seems to hold about a liter of liquid. I am going to also try to drink more water to see if that helps. I am also going to crack a window at night, and every night, to get some fresh air in my room at night. I have a space heater, but I am finding it kills all the moisture in the air leaving me parched in the morning.
Fourth on the to do list, I have an interview with a publisher in Los Angeles that I am pretty excited about. It is a multi-cultural news network that focuses on middle aged millennials that are looking for news about people like them. It focuses on businesses, leadership, and culture that is important to our world today as it brings in perspectives of others.
Fifth on the list, I plan on reworking my LinkedIn profile. It is a bit outdated and I think I can do a better job of selling myself.
