RUSH, RUSH, RUSH! Goes my brain in the morning. I want to rush through life and check the boxes while I am not enjoying the movement. I am looking for my brain to transact on something that may not be there yet, all for the love of CHECKING A BOX. It’s so weird. I never expected to mimic my parents behaviors when I became a parent, BUT HERE I AM, LOL.

My father always made his coffee and ran out the door. I learned that the morning rush led to success, therefore I thought I had to copycat his ways to get that similar success. I find myself catching my negative thoughts that I need to rush it all. Instead of acting on a negative thought I can focus on the action. I believe in God, but what if all my thoughts were prerecorded and then I have to listen to them when I level up in the UNIVERSE and transition? That would stink.

The circumstances and roads all lead to slowing down, and getting a better hold on my day by SLOWING DOWN.

In order to take care of myself I need to SLOW DOWN, and appreciate the journey.

  1. GET OUTSIDE
  2. DEEP BREATHING
  3. SAVOR YOUR SOOTHING TEA
  4. BE PRESENT
  5. FOCUS ON PEOPLE IN FRONT OF YOU
  6. DO LESS, TAKE A SELF CARE DAY
  7. ISOLATE FOR 5 MINUTES
  8. JOURNAL
  9. PRAYER
  10. WALK

  1. What can I do better tomorrow?
  2. What makes me smile?
  3. What am I grateful for?
  4. Does work define me?
  5. Am I my job?
