In Hindi, Collins Dictionary describes consciousness as your mind, thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes.
In Buddhism, Wikipedia defines the nine consciousness as the five senses (touch, taste, smell, hearing, sight), understanding what is taken from the five senses, the unseen spiritual side of life, the storehouse of all thoughts, words and actions of karmic energy, and finally the ability to exist purely with all lifeforms.
In Christ, Yogapedia describes consciousness is that where self-realization and unity with God or the Divine is apparent.
Scielo’s article says that consciousness cannot be defined, and that it is unique from person to person.
So what is the truth? In my unique perspective, I think consciousness is linked to the divinity of the universe. I believe that consciousness is a gift from our higher power (whatever that higher power might be to you).
I believe that consciousness should be our new currency. That we should be rewarded for good deeds across the board.
