Are you a mega chocolate lover like me? I am the chocolate monster, especially around the holidays! I can’t get enough. As much as I love chocolate, I know I need to spoil myself sometimes but it makes it easier for me when the chocolate is paleo friendly!

Here is our recipe for Dark Chocolate Pie that’s paleo friendly for you and yours.

INGREDIENTS

For the crust

1 cup of shredded unsweetened coconut

2 cups of almond flour

1/3 cup of melted coconut oil

1/3 cup of honey

For the filling

1 cup of coconut cream

1 cup of coconut oil

1/2 cup of cacao powder

1/3 cup of honey

Almond flakes to decorate on top

DIRECTIONS

Preheat over to 350 degrees fahrenheit and grease 9 inch pan with coconut oil

Whip out your food processor and throw in the almond flour, shredded coconut, coconut oil and honey until there are a ton of crumbs.

Transfer the dough to the pan and push it down evenly on the top and sides of it.

Bake in over for 20 minutes until golden brown.

Remove and let cool.

For the filling, put all of the ingredients listed in that section in a low heat sauce pan and mix until fully combined.

Transfer the mix to a blender for 3 minutes on high until well blended evenly.

Pour the filling into the cooled crust and refrigerate for 5 hours.

Spice it up with nice almond flakes decorations on top.
