We are getting down to the wire here, as Halloween makes it way down the countdown of October 31st.
With that our family has pulled together some affordable and fun ways to decorate the house with simple household items that you’d normally toss in the recycling bin.
If you collect glass jars, plastic bottles, egg cartons, twisty ties, plastic honey bears, and empty jam jars, then you’ll have all you need! If you already have multicolored construction paper, glue and scissors at home then good for you as you can let the cooky costume party begin! (Enter Thriller song by Michael Jackson).
We used the paper tubes and some construction paper for some wicked witches and crazy cat decorations that came out great.
We painted some wood and used so wire to hang up our epic Halloween sign to let those future trick or treaters that we are open for business.
We used our extra flexible piping for some fabulous freaky decorations downstairs for a gorrific ghoulish dance party.
We cut out more pumpkins and laminated them after glue sticking them to a bigger piece of construction paper, it was SUPER DUPER POOPER SCOOPER STYLE but better.
We pulled together our potential costumes, which happen to be all super heroes. Captain American, Batman or Flash are options but I prefer them to be pumpkins every year. And yes I am serious. Not because I am cheap, okay maybe a little, but because I can measure how much they grew from the year before in pictures.
How are you going to decorate your home for Halloween? What are you going to dress up as this Halloween?
