During the interview process, it is important to understand the values and culture of the company before signing that new contract. This will save you time and money in the long run.
Here are 8 culture questions mom’s should ask themselves and the company on their next interview.
What is the culture at your company? Is it female friendly?
Are there gendered roles and stereotypes? Are working mothers marginalized and put on the mommy track?
Do women get the same support and sponsorship as men?
Are women paid equally for equal work?
Is the culture conservative, innovative, hierarchical?
Is the company aligned with your values?
And most importantly, will you have the opportunity to showcase your talent in this environment?
Do you have the potential to thrive at this company or are the cards stacked against you?
What other questions should mom’s ask on their next interviews?

I’m not a mom, of course, though I appreciate your assembling a set of useful inquiries. Some of these are questions a mom would do well to ask herself, though put to an interviewer…not so much.
Or, specifically, the savvy mom will know how to read between the lines. After all, part of each interview is the company auditioning for you, to make its case. As such, the interviewer may not offer, necessarily, complete candor. Not because he or she’s intimidated, or shifty, but because the situation calls for certain niceties.
Asking if the deck is stacked against you hardly is likely to get in response, “Yeah, pretty much.”
Here’s where intellect and a keen observation have more to say.
On point, TA! Bless up! 💎
