Thanksgiving is a few weeks away! For me, Thanksgiving is a time to be near family and friends. It is a time to celebrate and love each other, being grateful for all the blessings we have been given since the last Thanksgiving. I always love looking at different quotes of gratitude during this time to remind me of all the blessings I have been given over the last year.

The blessings that I received this year include:

  • watching my kids actually grow taller
  • having my mother-in-law in town to help us with the kids
  • growing deeper relationships with sober women worldwide
  • having group therapy available to me any time I need it
  • joining a new gym
  • growing my hair longer in a healthy way and getting it cut every 2 to 3 months
  • my husband booking more work
  • my parents staying alive and stable

Many different people all over America like to celebrate Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is prime time for watching all the college and NFL football games. Go JETS! We watch any Olympic sports if it’s an Olympic year. We play games like flag football or hide and seek, sometimes even capture the flag. These are all fun outdoor activities to play with family and friends during Thanksgiving. Not only is a time to give thanks, it is a time to be grateful for everything we have done for ourselves and others.
