Now you can’t beat that with a bat! Major airlines across the globe total losses of over 35B according to Kayak.com.

With COVID to blame for the pandemic worldwide, many travelers are gracefully taking their hats out of the ring and hanging up those airport boxing gloves. Now they are using major video conferencing tools like Google Hangouts, Zoom, Skype, Apple’s FaceTime, and many, many more. Not only is it more cost effective, there is less overall stress involved. And former business travelers are loving it, although they may not have as many points for reward programs, the travelling is exhausting.

‘The extra protocols they are taking at the airport are great to help keep everyone healthy and safe, but COVID paranoia still lives on,’ said Tom King a frequent flyer miles business class card holder with American Express.

Many are reporting that travel was an entire waste of time and no one needs to see each other in person anymore. This new type of travel now requires you to go downstairs for your first cup of coffee in the morning rather than getting the old funky coffee served at all major airports. Except Dunkin Donuts coffee, of course.

It seems leisure travel is up, but business travel is down, way, way down to China town. Many businesses don’t want to take the liability issues of shipping folks out into the fields when they can safely do it from the comfort of their own homes. This saves companies a ton of money and allows for spending on other things like employee perks and end of year bonuses.

What are your thoughts on business travel?
