I Voted Today | Leverage Ambition

After debating for months about whether or not and if and when I should vote, I finally decided that today would be the day.

The recall of Mayor Newsom in LA County can be heard across the world, and the world heard us. We need leadership that is looking to serve the people, rather than foreign investments.

In the media capital of the world, dubbed as The City of Angels, breakthroughs happen every day.

BLM protests, Asian Hate Crimes, LGBTQA equal rights, the MeToo movements – people are demanding change in every way, shape, and form. And boy, was it all overdo.

No matter what religion, ethnicity, race or color, we are one. The illusion of separation in the news can never separate us. We are connected in this earthly realm and we are ready to fight for our rights as human beings, together.

And together is better.

So instead of ignoring and denying the fact that we are in the state we are in, I vote.

I vote for my children. I vote for my husband. I vote for my family and friends. And I vote for you.

If we want change, we need to be it. And here we are.

Oh yes, and Happy Thursday! What’s your TBT?

  1. henhouselady – I am the author of Saving the Hen House. I didn't know when I started it would turn into a series. I love to ride motorcycles, the blues, my family, and going on adventures. This old hen rocks.

I’m glad you voted. I know it’s hard to believe in the process these days, but we all need to keep the faith.
