Times are tough.

Over 40 million people are unemployed in America, and it seems like it’s only going to get worse through 2021.

Reality is that there are still jobs available AND many businesses are in investment mode, ready to hire their next superstar.

The problem? 

Their recruiters suck.

Whether it be HR or a third party company, they don’t understand the service.

How can you understand what the company TRULY needs when you don’t understand the ecosystem?

Meanwhile they fake it till they make it, and never quite get the puzzle right.

To add, it seems like they care more about their commission than they care about their clients.

Heck, some founders don’t even know what the company needs but they know they need help.

Here are reasons why recruiters suck.

1. They only have their own best interest in mind.

You are just another number in their sales playbook. The more calls they get the better they look within their company.

2. You are treated like a revolving door.

They push you around, make empty promises, lie, cheat, beg, borrow and steal from you AND their clients.

The recruiting company wants revolving business, so they can continue to collect commission checks from them.

So they proceed to bring on short term hires that are okay enough, but there is always the idea that they can swap out and do better.

Many recruiters have found the magic formula. Recruit the world’s okay-est hire, collect the 3 month commission, and then when it doesn’t work out, bring in the world’s second latest hire and so on.

3. Great call, then they ghost.

The classic bait and switch. Guess the call wasn’t so great homie.

They call you, you give it your all, they never call you back.

The classic ghost.

4. They are so bad, Reddit is on the case.

The global troll train on Reddit is ready, willing, and able to bash all recruiters to infinity and beyond. Unleash the fury here and now!

5. They don’t care what your pay was before, sorry sucker.

You get what you get, and you don’t get upset? WTF.

They don’t do the low, medium, high budget, they do it all or nothing.

This cuts off great talent from even arriving at your doorstep.
