I love roses. We have a rosebush outside of our home. Our yard has two rose bushes next to each other, one pink bush and one red bush. Usually wearing pink and red together in an outfit wouldn’t work back in the day, but today it is looked at as more avant guard and fashionably festive.

I found out a long time back from my mother that roses will bloom bigger and more beautifully if you lay down the leftover ashes of the fireplace from a few nights of burning wood. She also let me know that leftover crushed eggshells also work to help give them the necessary vitamins they need. Isn’t it funny how nature so perfectly grabs our leftovers and turns them into artistic natural masterpieces?

The ambiguous and precarious bloom of a flower can show the gentle gleam of nature.

Here are some pictures of the single rose that was blooming in the marine layer mist this morning.

I love how the white and light and dark pinks spread over the precarious petals and make it look like a watercolor painting.

What is your favorite flower?
