Growing up in the 80’s, I always felt there was an overwhelming sense of immediate urgency to get everything done for the fear of having things out of place.
Having many siblings and family members that I could not control was overwhelming for me, thristing me into action to fill the void.
I realized soon that I did not have any control over other people’s action. Everyone else’s programs are none of my business. Other people’s actions are none of my business. I shoot for calmness and peace. I may not always get it. If I surrender and allow myself a peaceful morning, my higher power will take the wheel and I don’t have to.
Wait, why am I talking? Because I cannot be perfect. I cannot be perfect, yes! THANK GOD for that! I need to listen to my body, I don’t have to worry when I can trust. I need to honor myself. I need to save my ass and not my face.
Listen has the same amount of letters as silent, and I need to be STILL.
When I do the work, my cup runneth over. When I get busy, it’s much easier to stay out of other people’s business. The universe works in mysterious ways.
Letting go of my expectations will only prevent future resentments. Minding my own business is imperative so that I can point the finger back at myself.
Feeling safe is my priority and I need to stand still. Reaffirming that my higher power is in charge and I am not helps me let go of self will, when I need to be in Gods will.
I need to stand still and wait for the miracle.
